Quilt Preparation
Quilt Top
- Indicate top of quilt with safety pin.
- Your quilt top should be pressed with all seams flat.
- Indicate the pattern direction - lengthwise or crosswise on the quilt.
- Clip all threads.
- Make sure quit top and backing are square.
- If your quilt is not square puckering and creases may occur during quilting process.
- Remove selvage edges from backing and press the seams open.
- Backing needs to be 4” to 6” longer and wider that top.
